About Us
The Schools Day Out – where fun and learning meet.
Showing Waikato is all about what is at the heart of our communities; family. The most valued part of our families is our children, and we want to invest in their growth, wellbeing and life experience.
So, the Schools Day Out is a one day learning event held annually at Claudelands Event Centre, which is focused on educating children aged 5 to 12 about the Waikato region; all in one central location.
Students attending engage with the variety of organisations providing services to meet community needs in the Waikato Region. Organisations focuses on protecting the environment, our physical wellbeing, our geography, championing community learning and preserving the unique cultural interests of the Waikato Region.
Now in its 11th year, the programme has developed into a credible event where school groups return each year.
